What does a Template Website package include?
A Template Based Website consists of:
- A customized design based on your chosen template design
- Up to 7 pages of content
- A contact page with form
- Upload to the internet
- Setup of your domain name and web hosting (if ordered with the website)
- Submission to Google and Yahoo Search Engines
You choose a starting template (see the Designs page), and provide your logo and corporate colours.
The design will be customized while you prepare the content for your desired pages.
When you approve your website it will be uploaded and ready to go!
The process is extremely quick, with sites usually ready within two business days of receiving the content.

- Australian Domain Name $55 for 2 years
- Non-Australian Domain $27.50 for 1 year
- Web Hosting $154 for 1 year on the standard plan

AUD inc. GST
What is Web Hosting?
Your site needs to be "hosted" so that it is available on the internet. You pay for a web hosting account (usually monthly or annually) and your site is uploaded to the online server.
Web Hosting is different to the plan you already have with your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
What do domain names cost?
- $55 /2 years for Australian domains (2 years is the minimum term)
- $27.50 /1 year for Non-Austalian .com and .net domains
Restrictions apply when registering Australian domain names.
What restrictions apply to Australian Domain Names?
To register a .com.au or .net.au domain name you must be able to prove a legitimate reason for using the name in question. This is usually done by providing an ABN or ACN for a business with the same, or similar name.
These restrictions help to stop domain name squatting, and also mean that more domains are available to legimate users.
Can I get additional pages / features on my site?
Certainly. Small additions to the template package (additional pages for example) cost $55 per hour.
If your needs are substantially different then a custom developed solution would be more appropriate. Please Contact me to discuss your project.
Can I edit my own website?
At this stage HTML knowledge is required to update your website. If you have a web editor such as Adobe Dreamweaver then you may be able to do this yourself.
In the near future an optional Content Management System (CMS) will be available for Template Based Websites to allow non-techincal users to update the content themselves.
Will my site appear in Search Engine Results?
Yes. Your site will be submitted to the major search engines upon completion. They will normally index your site within a few weeks.
Gaining high rankings, particularly for competitive keywords, takes longer and dedicated search engine optimization efforts. The best things you can do to bring targeted search engine traffic to your site are:
- Write relevant, useful content, using keyprhases you wish to target in headings and body text
- Encourage incoming links from other websites to your own (especially from sites on related topics)
Do the Template Designs adhere to Web Standards?
Absolutely. The designs are hand coded with valid HTML 4 and CSS. The markup is lean and semantic for quick load times and maximum accessibility to search engines and visitors using assistive technology.
The structure, presentation and behaviour are appropriately separated for a high quality, maintainable product. If you don't know what any of this means, don't worry, but rest assured that the Template Based Websites (as with all of my work) follows best-practice web development.
Will my Website work with different browsers?
Yes. When investing in a Website it's critical that the product be usable to as many visitors as possible.
Your website will work with any reasonably modern and standards compliant browser, and has been tested with the following:
- Internet Explorer 6/7/8
- Firefox 3
- Opera 9, 10
- Safari 4
- Google Chrome 4/5
